My custom fitted diapers are made of soft cotton flannel for comfort. No waterproofing or elastic are used to decrease possible areas of irritation. Instead, you place a pad with sticky backing in the appropriate place to catch the fluid. Then just change it as needed, saving laundry time. Plus, since they are reusable, you don't add to the landfill.
